Many years ago I was asked to play with a local wind band on the back of a float at a carnival. The bandmaster was stood at the back and told us he'd start us off playing just as the procession got under way. As the vehicles in front of us got moving he raised his baton to bring us in but as the lorry driver put his foot down he fell backwards on to the road. The image of the conductor raising the stick then disappearing had the whole band in hysterics and even when he clambered back aboard the moving float we couldn't start playing for at least another 5 minutes for laughter.

Does anyone else have some classic memories for us to laugh at?

Does anyone else do this? Since playing the Guitar hero game and Rockband my finger dexterity has increased significantly.

What other exercises do people do?

LOUGHBOROUGH BASED BAND LOOKING FOR A SINGER.

We are a heavyish band looking for a singer to complete line up.

We have our own practice room located in Loughborough.

Our influences include early korn,deftones and foo fighters amongst many others.

We currently have 4 members 2x guitar on of which is willing to sing backing if needed, 1x drums, 1x bass guitar.

We already have the kit needed for a singer e.g. vocal pa and mics although it would be preferred if you bring your own mic.

We are NOT a covers band. We have started writing our own material and have a few songs ready for vocals.

We are all experienced and all have gig and former band experience.

We are looking to get a set completed and get out on the gigging circuit as well as record a demo using the equipment we already have.

Male or Female vocalists are welcome but would prefer it if you are over 18 and have transport.
